Which T25 to look for
 

Does anybody have any suggestion to on T25 turbo with a T2 flange out there. I did some research but none of them was really helpful. Which vehicles can I snag a T25 that has a T2 flange? Thank you

Easiest way I found was to look on the Nissan forums (SR20 Forum in my case) for SR20DET turbos... mine was off a W10 Avenir (some kind of JDM utility wagon). Fits right on my BEGi T2 flange manifold.

If youre looking for inexpensive aftermarket there are the ebay chinda chargers, or you could get a godspeed gt2871 for like 400-500 bucks

I actually have a T25 that will work well with your setup plus the adapters for the inlet and outlet. I ended up winning two ebay auctions at once unexpectedly. PM me if you're interested.

Stay away from the Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo t25's. They use a 4 bolt downpipe flange, whereas everyone else is using a 5 bolt flange. I used the 300zx T25, and would love now to get a bigger turbo, but would have to get my downpipe redone to accomodate it.

15psi at 3000 rpm... it's slightly smaller then the sr20 t25. It's near impossible to drive not in boost.

You can send it to Jim Wolf Technologies (or go through SpecialtyZ where you got the flange) to have it rebuilt into something bigger. Might not be worth it for the cost vs buying a 5 bolt turbo and new downpipe, ut it dosn't cost anything to price it out.

I think there are several people running the chinachargers now with good results.

running a china charger is nice if you don't mind tat nuisance of buying a new turbo evry couple thousand miles.

uh yah, you have no idea what you are talking about. I know many people that put lots of miles and very heavy abuse on no-name chinachargers.
Corky Bell did some precision measurements of chinachargers and found that almost all of them are made to within tolerances of Garrett units.

A local friend (wonton on here) bought a chinacharger from BEGi after they used it and after only a short time the car began smoking very badly. We diagnosed everything we could and he finally narrowed it down to the turbo. He now has a Garrett GT2560R and no more smoking. Chinachargers are very hit and miss, even the "good" ones.

A friend of mine has had several garrett gt35r's crap out on him all of which he bought new. I agree that a brand new garrett is probably better, and probably makes more power than a chinacharger, but I really dont think a used garrett is going to be any more reliable than a new cinacharger, and I really cant see myself spending a thousand bucks on a little gt2554

Anybody can get a "good" chinacharger every now and then but overall i've seen them fail MASSIVELY. you may know people that have had success with them but i know of 5 cars of the top of my head that have all ran chinachargers and paid for it many times over. Yes. they are cheap and may be close to spec with similar garrett units but they are cheap for a reason homie
