Default MIATA 1991 TURBO

Hi guys ,i am new here ,sorry my english ,i just purchase a miata 1991 with turbo on it and it is running ok but i can not pass 2000rpm since it does not have a ecu ,it is runing with stock ecu ,so i need help from expert and people like some of you guys that alredy deal with this things .
Wich ecu you guys recommend ? .
I read that megasquirt is good but i did not found a reliable tuner on my area yet.
flymiata also good "but" a performance shop on my area toll me " stay away from" so i agreed with a forum where someone was telling that the best ecu is the one that " your " tuner feel comfortable with.
Now somebody recommend a good tuner in south florida?
Can i just DYS base on a tune already post online ,my idea is to get around 150 to 200 hp at the wheel . Any info will be highly preciate .

Welcome to the site. Can you post some pictures of the engine bay so we can try to identify what your working with? Megasquirt is definitely the most commonly used standalone on miatas, but a lot of tuners aren't familiar with them. I would think you'd be able to find someone that could tune it assuming you're in the Miami area.

Im not sure what exact model the turbo is it says its a garett AR .60 M10 the car has the miata 1.8 injectors. I am in the Miami area and willing to drive for a good tuner.

Whew, looks like you've got quite a project ahead of you.

If I'd just bought this car, I'd stop driving it until you get some way to tune it. Most people here will tell you to get a megasquirt. There is a TON of information online, if you take the time to read and research you should be able to tune the car reasonably well yourself.

At the very least don't beat on the car until you get some way to tune it. It would probably be wise to remove the spring from the wastegate so it won't go into boost until then as well.

Nice quiet sleeper sound !

Get a standalone computer, ditch that AFM, and I looks like a fairly solid set up. Maybe consider a real downpipe and exhaust.

Sell it back. Let out a sigh of relief cause you dodged a bullet. Then, do more research before you buy a turbo car.

Megasquirt=less money but you must be responsible for making it work. After a lot of work and testing it can be better than a hydra. Certainly more flexible with more options.

Hydra thru fm they will do a lot of the work if not all tuning for you and hold your hand. That cost money
