Unhappy compressor wheel damage

I just got a turbo from a friends sr20 that has some damage to the compressor wheel. 2 fins are missing a small piece and about 80% of the fines are bent. the housing has no damage and almost no shaft play. I would have to say I think it ate a small rock or something like that. i was just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to get this ready for my miata? i think it is a Garrett gt2560. i dont really know where to get a good replacement wheel.

You'll definitely need a new compressor wheel and probably need new CHRA in general if it was spinning at the time of death.

i'd sell the housings on craigslist or just put the whole thing in the recycle bin on trash day. not worth messing with.

SR20 turbos are only worth $50 used in GOOD condition. A compressor wheel will cost you $70 and a rebuild kit around $100 and having it balanced (must do) will be another $65 plus shipping. Just get a new Chinese turbo off Ebay. They are getting so cheap they are almost disposable.

If you do rebuild that old one check out theboostlab.com
