My stock fuel pump died (145,000 miles) so I bought a Walbro 190 from BEGI . Due to the mileage on the oem FPR will this new fuel pump overide the old stock FPR ? or should I just replace the old FPR as well ?

As far as I know, nobody has ever verified that an OEM FPR has gone bad. I have no idea what the guts of the thing look like, or even if there's a moving part inside, but being vaccum dependant, there probably is. I wonder if it's designed to fail a certain way.

If it fails open, you'd get zero pressure in the rail and the car would die.
If it fails closed, you'd get no fuel flow and the car would die.

If it was just "going bad", I'm not sure how you'd come to diagnose it other than guessing correctly and replacing it. If the car runs fine, don't touch it.

Sam car runs fine................but I have noticed that over the past few weeks the A/F's at 5,500 to redline @ the same boost level started to go up into the 12's where they always ran in the mid 11's so I just thought the fuel pump was starting to show its age. I wasn't sure if it was just a good idea to go ahead and replace the FPR while I had the pump out. If I can save a few $$$$'s fine if not, I would replace it if needed.
