I have a Begi Miata kit on 99 Miata. The maps that came with the kit make the car run rich at idle to the point where gas sprays out of the exhaust. I’ve posted some pictures here of what the maps look like. Xede piggyback and needs to pass emissions. I have no afr sensor. Please tell me what I can change on these maps and if anyone has saved maps they can send me so I can upload and run perfect in my miata I will seriously pay you for it.

 

I think the smart people here (not me) are going to request proper screen shots of all the stuff you are requesting help with before they even attempt to help. Also probly a list of what you have done to the car.

It's worth mentioning that even if 2 miatas are modified and spec'd out the exact same way the tunes will still be different so it's unlikely that someone will be able to just send you a tune that will fix all your problems.

 

Buy a wideband and proper ECU

 

What in the literal ****. Dude your screenshot is worthless. The car is not running? WTF are we supposed to deduce from that screenshot of a map display with no indication of what the engine is experiencing?

That could be ANY ENGINE, with ANY INJECTORS, with ANY BOOST ADDER. Do you understand how we can't help you?

I ran a boosted miata for 6 years with an Xede and passed OBD2 emissions 3 times. I know how to tune an Xede, and I cannot help you AT ALL, because the information you have provided is utterly worthless.

Beyond that, BEGI provides a "how to tune the xede" PDF on their website. I know this because I have it. Because I had an Xede, and I wanted to understand, and I downloaded it, and :
* read the documentation
* made every effort to know WTF I was talking about when I got to the dyno with my tuner

So look. We are not unwilling to help you. But mother of god, don't come in here looking like a ******* idiot, or we WILL toss you to the curb and move on. This is one of the few places on the interwebs (as things stand now) where facts and experience will always triumph and bullshit/pandering/posing will always fail. The corollary of that is that weak efforts at self-enrichment are poorly tolerated.

 

How exactly do you expect to tune your map without a wideband??

I'd buy that for 5k, add a ms3 and some bigger injectors and that would be a really nice car
