in my opinion seeing a WB probe wire melt does not necessarily mean EGTs were too hot. a small exhaust leak at the the turbo/ manifold or down-pipe could easily burn insulated wires like a egt probe. you had a probe, so what temps where you seeing? sustained? spike? cruising on the highway II sometimes see temps as high as 1600+ but on the track it runs cooler, around 1450 is around the I've noticed. If I recall, over 1800 is getting dangerous.

Got apart today and balls were falling out as i took apart. One of the bearings failed as seen above. So these cannot be rebuilt? Does anyone sell the bearing replacement? it looks like a small cylinder with bearing and could be easily replaced. I cannot find any online. If yall know any anyplace that sells this would appreciate it! |

Costs $400 if you mail back your broken core for credit. |
