Turbo flanges / dimensions questions. Opinions ?

Hello guys, for my DIY Turbo kit i talked to one of the Kraken guys who build turbo exhaust manifold and i will buy a exhaust kit from them, all good for now.
The problem is that my DIY Turbo kit which I would like to buy ( kit inculdes: Intercooler piping, oil lines, turbo, wastegate , bow, etc, all small stuff, and it's pretty cheap) has a kind of flange, a weird one. I've talked to that guy (chinese guy) and i asked him for the Turbo flange dimensions, i gave him links like this : IMG but he can't tell me sure what flange does the turbo has.
The kit title is: UNIVERSAL T3/T4 T3 T4 T04E TURBO KIT +INTERCOOLER+WASTEGATE+BOV+BOOST GAUGE+ TURBO OIL LINE
KIT LINK: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/UNIV...22a72e0elj6BZe

so as you can see it's a T04E T3/T4 one, and i don't know what flange dimesnion does it has. it's 4 bolts one. I need the flange dimension to tell the Kranken guy which builds my manifold what flange should it have, he can build TD04l, T25 and if i will pay him more (since he's not building them anymore) also T3 flange.
I guess since it's Td04E that "E" does not change the flange type, right ?

Second Problem: The manifold built by them does not include a Wastegate "hole", and my turbo from the kit does not have an internal one, as you can see. so i think my only option is to buy this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/EPMA...22a72e0elj6BZe

For the ECU, i already installed one, to get the ignition timing and fueling, so no problem. It's not MS.

So what are your thoughts on this build? I live in Europe so the parts are pretty hard to find and my budget is negative :))
But for my project ( i only aim 0.5 bar ~ 7 psi) i think it will do the job.

I hope I expressed clearly if not sorry, i try my best.
Thank you !

** I buy from that webstie becouse the shipping is almost free (from France) and becouse it's in EU i won't pay extra import tax (20%)

Just tell the Kraken guy to use a T3 bolt pattern (assuming your buying his cast manifold), he'll know what it is. You'll need to specify what stud size to use (M8 or M10). Honestly, why not just use a T2 based with a Garret 5 bolt exit and you can get a complete kit from Kraken with manifold + downpipe and either 2.5 or 3" cast housing.

Much easier than trying to hack together everything.

Good luck.

Whats so difficult about doing tried-and-true methods? Just buy the kraken hotside and support a member of the community instead of buying into chinese garbage.

+1 on the Kraken hotside. If you wanna do this on the cheap, get a used TD04 or T25 turbo, rebuild it, and use it. Else, you will soon figure out that cheaping out in this game will cost you more on the long term, when you will have to throw all this chinese crap away.

I agree but now i just wanted to test it. I know china turbos suck but for a start in modding i think it's ok.

But, will if fit, right?
When i did the research i found that t3 and t3/t4 are different. Right?
I just want to fit in and start test it with it and then i will buy a better turbo.

Thanks

Buy a genuine T25. Then when you get bored with it, upgrade to a 2554 or 2560 so you can actually have resale value on your "test" turbo. They're bolt-on upgrades. Again, what's so wrong with known methods?

Hi, a t25 as i can see it's at least 300$, comming from outside the eu i must pay taxes almost 30% that means almost 400$. While i can buy a t3 t4 with the kit above at 700$ shipped without taxes (bcs it s inside eu) and while the kit already comes with that turbo it will be at least 400$ cheaper. So, unfortunately for me these are unnecessary bills :)
You are right the quality of the buil will be better. I approve. But on my first project money are now a big issue, i must admit.

Kraken sells a complete kit, manifold + down pipe + exhaust in either 2.5” or 3” for a T2 or TD04 turbo. Why don’t you make it easy on yourself and ask them what to buy and where? They’re even inside the EU to make it easier for you.

I realize some of us are accused of being dense... but seriously.

You’re attempting to make way too much sense there. :nono:

What about the wastegate? Could that flange do the job or should i buy a turbo with one included?

On the turbo you’re talking about it’ll need a exit housing with a flapper for the wastegate to make it internal. Another cost... If you use a T25 like others have mentioned, the exit housing is simpler and the wastgate flapper is internal to the turbo. Kraken has a cast exit housing that bolts onto a T25 turbo that uses a 5 bolt Garrett bolt pattern. Simple and he also sells the whole exhaust package to bolt up.

You’re going to spend any perceived savings in cobbling up more pcs to make things “fit”.

Ok. So i guess the cheapest way is to buy that kit for the intercooler and another t25 with internal wastegate to fit the manifold.
Links for t25s to buy? :)

Maybe something like this at least it bolts up to everything Kraken: https://www.ebay.com/itm/GT2860-49-a...IAAOxy2HFSWKYq

Sorry, f'ing mobile app isn't handling the link thing.

A lot of the time it's a lot cheaper to spend more at first and have it work.
Than spend less at the start and have to replace things as they break.

Think of this:

you have two plates of food in front of you.

One plate is $5, it's from a shop with absolutely no other customers, and who knows what they do in the kitchen (do they even have a fridge to store meat?)

The other plate is $10, it's from a known restaurant, lots of satisfied customers, and has a health inspection sticker in the window saying it's clean.

The $5 one is cheaper at first, and MIGHT be great.
It may also give you food poisoning and you'll have to spend an extra wad of money on going to hospital, missing work, buying medication.

The $10 one costs more at first, but you know it will be tasty and won't make you sick.

Which do you choose?

True, every normal person would not chose the cheap one, still, you can not compare cars with humans.

But i will take more time on doing research after the next track day.

Thank you guys for your time.

$600 something dollars for this random collection of shit turbo parts is not cheap.

Buy kraken manifold/Downpipe and maybe exhaust
Find a used t25 turbo of a nissan s14 s14 or s15 silvia. $150-300
Or a China t25 from aliexpress, reasonably small sized one (under 2871 size) $200
A cheap bov $30-50

The above t25 turbos already have an internal wastegate.

This is better and cheaper that buying that pile of shit parts.
