Turbo timer help...

I know most of you hate the turbo timers, but i have one that has been sitting around for a year now and would like to install it in my 92 NA, any help here guys?

Wires on GReddy Harness

(GReddy Full Auto Turbo Timer)

Black: E-Brake Ground?
Red: 12V Always hot?
Purple: Speed sensor (dont want)
Green: ?
Blue: ?

anyone have a hint or a write up they can refer me to? Im lost here. Which wires need to be spliced where? (which colors under dash) All of the instructions are in Japanese

Any help would be so appreciated.

Thanks!

what is a turbo timer?

Just sell it dude.
Nobody is going to help you because none of us like doing ricer shit. Turbo timers are rice, end of story. You dont need it, it doesnt do anything.
All its good for is possibly getting set wrong and making your car idle in your driveway for 6 hours.

Timer Red to Ignition Switch White
Timer Green to Ignition Switch Blue
Timer Blue to Ignition Switch Black/Red
Timer Black to Ground
Timer Brown to Hand Brake Wire Blue/Yellow

Guess I do ricer shit.

By using a turbo timer there is no extra play in my GReddy turbo after over 70K miles and you can blow on it to spin it.

I did not use the parking brake connection, but tapped into the cruise control wires (provided but not used) and disconnected the clutch switch. Moving the shift lever out of neutral kills the engine with the key off.

Bruce is old school ricer.

thanks alot olderguy helps alot.....i knew there would be a bunch of negative responses.

buffon01 10-06-2010 09:23 AM

Why is it negative to say that timers are ricer shit?

Droptop93 10-06-2010 09:39 AM

buffon01 - you have raceland coils = ricer.

There are two distinct schools of thought on turbo timers; mine and everyone elses':jerkit:

buffon01 10-06-2010 09:41 AM

Do you see me arguing that they're NOT ricer shit.

I just dont boost 5-7 mins before I get home.

Braineack 10-06-2010 09:55 AM

i boost into my parking spot and shut off the car as fast as i can.

I still have my Greddy turbo timer hooked up. :fawk:

I wired it up like 5 or 6 years ago and never really saw a reason to remove it. I usually get looks when I park the car and walk away from it running like "does he want me to steal his car?" lol

I like the fact that it idles the car down for me, seeing that I drive like a fucking maniac most of the time.

buffon01 10-06-2010 11:15 AM

That's what is all about, the watch me walk away while my car still on, BUT WAIT! it turns itself off. ZOMG!!!!
