Default Did some tuning on Tw34ks turbo honda

Last night Tw34k and I finally got around to doing some tuning on his Honda (we just got the motor in about a week ago).

I know its not a miata, but I know how you guys like to look at datalogs

Heres the datalog from a pull through 2nd, 3rd, and part of forth. He let off at 120mph.

There is still a lot of fine tuning to do, but we got it pretty good for now on 10psi. It will see 15-18psi pretty soon, and eventually 20+psi once bigger injectors are installed.

P.S. Those AFR readings are actually about 0.5-1 point richer than displayed on the datalog.

Oh I almost forgot to give a little info about the setup

Its a Honda D16Z6, with Suzuki Vitara low pistons and custom length I beam rods
Compression is in the mid 8's I beleive.
The turbo is a ebay T3/T4, hopefully tw34k will chime in with the specs.
Open downpipe (temporary), ebay EWG with 6psi Tial spring, Hondata s300 w/ electronic boost control, etc.

Heres a vid from yesterday before we started tuning, and before the boost was turned up.
It was running on the spring pressure, which is ~6 psi. It was also running pretty rich with more conservative timing.
The other car is actually the car I posted on here a while ago as having "the worsrt BOV placement ever", the driver is a total retard and his car is totally trashed, but he still pulled a few lengths due to being on ~13 psi.
He keeps in it even after tw34k let off, because hes a ******* ricer.

I like how the daisy's look on there. In my experience the Honda guys want nothing to do with anyone that isnt driving a Honda.

Im a honda guy and i want nothing to do with anyone that drives a honda. Im the first to admit at least 80 percent of them are retarded.

Im really tempted to turn it up to 13-15 today.

I'm a honda guy too and I totally agree with this. Although, I'm also the proud owner of an $800 94 M as well .. so I guess I'm a hybrid miata honda guy. I need to find a way to bastardize a honda with a miata drive train.

Found out I broke the pesky drivers side mount and a innovative billet one is finally going to replace it.

The brakes should be done by the time the mount gets here then we are going to crank it up.

hopefully more vids, pics, datalogs to come soon

When i first bought the wg it did have an issue where it would stay open once it saw boost the first time and you would have to manually close it. Shortly after i bought it i put a tial spring in it and it works just fine, no issues at all.

Dealing with my ebc is a little dif of a story, it seems like it wants to change what psi per duty cycle it runs dependent on the outside conditions.

Yea I few friends wanted to go out to sonic saturday and I refused to go with them because of the ricer fucktards. Most of the decent cars go down argyle and 103rd street now

The AFR race looks like its bouncing around a lot, but its hard to tell from the scale there. Is it basically staying within about .1 of 12.3?

The rest looks pretty good to me. 80-120 in about 7 seconds is not too shabby.

Still with a early rev limit and stock cam for now. The head has crower springs and is begging for something to put them to the test.

The w/b input is off because it was originally wired for the car just as a aem uego for day to day monitoring and i normally tune with my lm1 but recently i decided to use my aem as a proper o2 sensor for closed loop and to ease tuning. Since the w/b and ecu are grounded form different locations there is a votage offset that is throwing off the readings. This will be corrected shortly.

The car made 141 across on a compression test today.

A funky ground would explain the fluctuation pretty well. Good comp numbers on a low static comp motor. What do Vitara pistons bring the ratio too?

Should be real close to 8.4.1 with the custom rods
