This project isn't really complete until you've sprayed all the JB Weld with "aluminum" spray paint.

totally what I was gonna say, paint that bitch.

adbradley 12-31-2006 04:34 PM

SHInTercooler!!!!

na, i dont think the jb weld would have been strong enuff on its own.. especaly the place where i used the flat plate to block off the old hole..

That dude hasn't logged in since April... but if we could get it to be the first google hit when your search "ghettocooler" we might be found two or three times per year.

Reminds me of a ghetto FMIC I did. Held together at 10+psi for over 6 months.

Part attachment was done with JBWeld and fiberglass sheets, resin.

It broke one night at the track and I had to get it back together to drive home (car had a MAFS) and no coupler could help because i chopped the stock inlet pipe off flush.

I ended up getting a ride to a grocery store and got a 2-part epoxy mix, cut strips off of my t-shirt, drenched them in epoxy and went to work (with bare hands too...sucked). It was air tight, got me home and then some before giving out.

danit. pics aint loading. i'll fix tomorrow

This will always by my favorite car project ever. Though I never used it, it was a lot of fun!
