My point has been missed. The COP's are better than standard coil, plug wire and plug setup ONLY because they eliminate the wire between. This is like making the car more economical by removing the weight of the seats. No?

So - unless the toyota COP's use coils that are producing more than 50k volts - then hot wires are superior in performance. These wires can boost normal spark voltages as much as 150% using standard plugs, and 300% using silver plugs. This is proven. Can your COP's produce 150k volts? That's possible with a 50,000 volt coil and a hot wire.

So what makes 40k-50k volts superior to 150k volts?? Do the COP's come with a life-time warrenty? Probably not.

db84drteg- This is the same unit ISC is using for their IT Miata ign upgrade. Yes, it's an improvement and designed to work with a wasted spark ignition (unlike all the OE COPs). And it is cheaper. These ignitions were used on a bunch of chryslers and mistsus (and diamondstars). I'm speculating, but I bet the ISC part is actually the MSD upgrade for these OE coils. I considered it, but my OE 1.6 coils weren't having issues at 300whp so I didn't bother.
