Variable TPS Question
Following this guide, I bought a BMW Bosch TPS (Part # 0-280-120-406) off of eBay and plan on installing it before sending the car to the tuners late April.
I'm running MS2PNP and I'm unsure if I need to modify the ECU to work with the new TPS. The guide mentions removing resistors and jumping connections; is this still necessary with the MS2PNP9093? Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find a definitive answer when I searched. |
Yes you will need to put a pull off jumper between the below pins. The jumper is a simple little, and I mean little plastic jumper you can get at your local radio shack. Pull off the cover look for the below jumper and push the little square pull off jumper on the two pins. Then put it all back together. It's easy if you know what to look for.

Just wanted to say thanks to the OP for asking, and thanks to whiprsnapr for the response. I've had this same question; I've read all of the manuals, and searched the forum a hundred different ways. Good to have a clear answer on the record.

Here's a video I found that explains the Megasquirt modification very well, and even shows which jumpers to use
Franklin Ronald, if you're a member here, thanks! |
