Vortech FMU Ratio
I searched for a while and couldn't find an answer to my question.
So i'm in the process of finishing up my turbo set up and i was wondering what ratio i would need with my set up. I ran the numbers in the formula in the DIY FAQ and the 10:1 seemed what i would need at 110 psi but i need some help from you guys. Here's my set up: 1.8 injectors (tan top) stock fuel pump T25 at 7 psi I know, i know, MS is the way to go but that's just not feasible right now. Trust me it will happen eventually. But for now i'm just gonna run the vortech unit. So what ratio FMU do you think i need and should i be okay with the stock fuel pump? |
usualy you need to run between 6 and 8 pounds of extra fuel per pound of boost. there should be a chart with your fmu that tells you which disk and ring to use. If you don't have that you can download it from the vortech website. and probably not (for your pump)

Don't forget to retard your timing about 1 degree off stock for each psi of boost. |
Thanks guys. I forgot to mention, timing will be set at roughly 6* BTDC
