VQ35DE injector questions??

As I'm planifying my turbo buildup, the kit I got had 4 RC 440cc included with it. The injectors came pre-wired in the OEM wiring, DSM clips and Mazda injector clips.

I plan on boosting 10 psi on a TD05-16G btw.

I made researches on injectors because my engine management (emb) isn't able to compensate for 440cc's to get a good idle and easier AF management all around. I found that FWD Nissan VQ35DE injectors ( im a certified nissan tech...) from Maximas and Altimas happen to have 295cc high impedance, pintle type injectors that look pretty close to fit. 295cc@43psi fuel pressure and 335cc@51 psi fuel pressure. So the OEM computer is able to idle pretty good and I should have around 30% more fuel with the 295's. I'll even be able to fiddle with fuel pressure to get 315cc at 47psi.

I'll test those injectors for you guys and let you know if any struggles I have with them. I have 18 of those injectors at home in my spare part bin. They all squirted in the last year so no need to get them evaluated\tested or else...

Looking to sell the 440 RC as well, they are pre-wired with the miata wiring and ready to plug in and install.

Any interests or facts to know on that is welcomed. Let me know what you guys think about that!!

no, sorry, Would you try maximas instead?

Techsalvager 09-16-2011 04:45 PM

Probably not if they aren't flowing atleast 400cc at 3 bar.
I do know the specv should be around 320cc and can be modded to flow 710cc

I also have 4x 440cc RC injectors with the OEM wiring and connectors pre-wired and everything if your looking for 440's. Ready to drop in.

300$ shipped. pm me back if interested.

My thread point is I want to be able to have a good idle and enough fuel to supply 10psi of boost with a 190L HP fuel pump. I'll try to fit them on the engine soon and will post results.

my point was I believe them to be too small

btw 300 can get me atleast 550cc ev14s

Too small. Keep the 440s and buy a megasquirt.

mr.na 09-18-2011 09:21 PM

I'm afraid that with a megasquirt, i'll be more behind the laptop tuning the car than behind the steering wheel, dyno is expensive here and not a lot of people know megasquirts around here??

I think I read somewhere that the megasquirt can remove the AFM and be more boost|user-friendly that EMB. Im I wrong??

I dont know that much about megasquirt also.

that answers the question on injectors, they are too small for my application. thanks

megasquirt can use various fuel\spark control strategies.
MAF
MAFMAP
Speed Density - MAP
Speed Density - Alpha N
Speed Density - Hybrid N

I use the greentops that flow 305cc at 45psi. With the nb's 60psi regulator they flow about 360cc's. I also use the emb and see 10-11 psi at 95%dc. With a ratio of around 11.8-12.2 at max boost. I've been running this way for about 3k miles with no issues.

If you have an NA, grab some 1.8L injectors and an afpr and have fun.
