Default Bought a Gt2871R

Found a local nissan guy selling a 2871r with a .64 hotside for 850 so I splurged and bought it, he said about 1000km on it but it was prolly alittle more, still in good shape, and came with inlet and outlet adapters on the comp housing.

Gotta wait till spring to try it out but hopefully the stock 1.8 will spool it and if the engine doesnt blow till next fall I'll be very happy as I can rebuild the engine with a few upgraded goodies for the following year.

But now I have to decide what I want to do with my downpipe as it has a goofy 4-bolt 300zxtt turbo flange on it...cut and weld new flange or v-band it. Running an internal wastegate btw.

REALLY eager to see what you do with this turbo. I'm flip-flopping between a 3071 and a 2871 for my next setup.

you'll make 10-12psi between 3.5k-4.5k. it's not overly large.

What manifold are you running?
Over the past several years there have been a couple people wanting to run this turbo. If you have an OFS manifold, you could probably sell your dp and just build a new one.

If you guys dont mind my asking, what do the numbers on the turbo mean? Mine has a 64 on the hotside and an 80 on the coldside.

Thanx

what century is that turbine housing from? no GT28 for the NS111 hotside has ever had the wall. I had two from two difference sources back in 2002 and they were both smooth there.

The sr20 replacement version has that turbine housing. All the turbos on their website that say something like "direct replacement for sr20det" or some such **** have it.
