I pulled off my turbo manifold because Jeff and I are going to port the wastegate tomorrow and found my exhaust ports on the head were very dirty. Well not anymore bitches!

Took about an hour. Used 60 grit sanding dremel attachment. Then the abrasive disc. Then polished with a wire wheel. On to making a manifold.

What did you do to keep debris from falling into the cylinders?

I kept the valves closed while i worked on them . Then after i was done took the air compressor and blew the crap out of them. I rotated the crank each time so that the valves were fully sealed.

Whew, just checkin! ;)

I almost forgot to but luckily the first 2 i did just so happened to have the valves closed. Very lucky indeed.

Wow that's going to last for about 2 sec after firing up the engine. But way to go!

I think since I smoothed out the casting and polished the port, the air will flow better than a stock head. I know it won't stay exaclty like that though.:crx:

I took a wire brush to mine when I was waiting on parts idk.

i wanted to do this when i was doing my install.................i was to lazy to do it. that and i was worried about getting shit in the cylinders.

I would definitely try on a junk head to practice. I just felt comfortable and went with it. Make sure the valves fully seated and plug the other 3 holes grind sand polish compressor air. Rinse and repeat.

sweet! ill prolly do this when i start to beef up my internals!
