What else do I need if I go this route?
I have a 95 miata, it already has a wideband, ms3x w/ gm iat, 2.5 inch exhaust, upgraded clutch, and ev14 injectors.
I'm looking at the following path to finishing the turbo build for a budget build: ebay T25 Kraken manifold/downpipe/oil/water feed & return lines and fittings cx racing Intercooler/bov MBC boost gauge Egr block off plate Total for finishing this looks like it would be right under $1500. Would I need anything else? |

The list looks pretty complete though. |
My $.02: there is absolutely nothing wrong with a properly installed quality mbc.
nothing. at all. even on ms3. *edit: btw I still remember remote tuning your car n/a last year :) feel free to hit me up via email, here, fb, or on ig if you have any questions |
I can't think of a single benefit of MBC for OP's situation.
Please teach me. |
I never said there's a benefit. I said there's nothing wrong with using one, that's all.
I have done a/b testing personally and cannot see any difference in performance when both are set up properly. So with that said, owning an ms3 if you set it and forget it, go either way. If you want to explore cool features like different boost maps, boost by gear, etc. then by all means go ebc. Lately starting to see everyone hating on mbc's for no reason and feel like it's not really deserved. |
The reason is that there is no benefit. They both work. One gives you more options with literally no downside.
