Bottom mount long runner no ac? $300???

18psi 12-18-2009 01:03 AM

externally gated ramhorn possibly ss not sure. Definitely better than a log imo and worth at least 400. just a guess

There's probably more than 300 in that thing in materials alone if its ss. Even if mild steel I'd guess well over 250.

kewilso3 12-18-2009 01:08 AM

so it looks fairly legit you think? I didnt recognizeit from any kits or ebay, and can you tell the flange type? sorry I know jack about this right now, thanks again

18psi 12-18-2009 01:20 AM

its a "custom" so to speak. Definitely doesn't look like the garbage on ebay.

JayL 12-18-2009 01:38 AM

Looks like a flipside manifold.

Pen2_the_penguin 12-18-2009 02:32 AM

Looks pretty decent, that tubing looks thick, so no ebay quality here. I might even be interested in it! The easy way to find out if its SS or MS, put a SMALL dab of water on the shiny part of the flange, and leave it for at the most a day. This method is kinda redneck, but it works.

Hot_Wheels 12-18-2009 04:16 AM

looks like a ETD ramhorn for the mx-3, nm not even close.

Faeflora 12-18-2009 09:20 AM

OK so could you please tell us about this mani? :)

^^^ this. and judging by the coating, probably Kelly's old manifold.

nice v-bands. :giggle:

kewilso3 12-18-2009 04:15 PM

so does anyone know the flange type? Can you visually tell? I want to run a gt2560r

SKMetalworks 12-18-2009 04:47 PM

Put a magnet on it. If its mild it will stick. Stainless it will fall off.

measure the dimensions of the turbo flange and the WG flange, report back, i'm sure someone will come up with an answer. either t2 or t3, so that's a start.

btw, you're in raleigh? where do you stay? what kind of miata? i used to live in raleigh, now in erwin. i work in smithfield. are you by any chance a member of TMR?

EDIT: looked over your sig...got the "what kind of miata" part down.

Looks like it to me.

What ever happened to him, anyway? Good guy.

kewilso3 12-18-2009 05:26 PM

uh oh, it's looking very t3 judging by how rectangular it is, and flange size compared to outlet size

ajbalmat 12-18-2009 05:40 PM

if it's t3 i would take it off your hands, but i was really wanting a top mount mani.

Not always, especially exhaust parts.

I vote its a T2-T28 flange

I'd agree.

Measure the distance between the 4 holes and check against dimensions available on T2 & T3 flanges online. Or post the dims here and we'd tell you.

Kelly was a good guy.

Braineack 12-18-2009 09:07 PM

looks like the studs were drilled out and you'd need a nut/bolt. IIRC he ran a t3/t4 and it was a SS manifold.

Kelly 08-09-2010 01:07 AM

Just stumbled on this. Did this manifold ever make it back onto a car?
