Default oil feed and restrictor question for those using the Ford 5 bolt Garrett .60 t3

What size, if any, oil restrictor are you using? And where did you pick up your oil feed kit from?

Really? I got a -3 instead of a -4 oil feed line so I wouldn't need a restrictor.

I got a -4an because it was easier to find.

I was curious if they did use one, the factory fitting I got with it didn't appear to have one.

If you can get away with it, don't run a restrictor. if you need it, start with the pop rivet trick (.125") than actually go with a 060" one.

I had a .060" restrictor made for the latest CHRA and its been working fine with no smoke on start-up.

do a search with posts started by "samnavy" he posted a how-to about it. but yeah pretty much pull the pin out of the rivet, put the rivet into the feed fitting and gently shape it around the 36° flared edge. Then screw the feed on, simple/easy/cheap .125" restrictor.

you only need a restrictor if you're getting oil pressure related blow-by through the turbo seals.
