Right had the car dyno'd yesterday and it made these figures. 168.8 ATW 139.something ATF and 138 ftlb at 4.2 psi not the 5 it should be running. Bar the slight boost loss everything looked spot on. The car is a JDM VS 1.8 6 speed with a non i/c HKS turbo kit (FCON Mini) The plan is to fit the I/C and get all the centre section exhaust made up to 2.5". Im stuck from there i know fuel pump, injectors and management but i dont have a clue where to start. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for so dont mind coughing up the pennies. So whats your opinions gents. |
Seems like logical progression. Definitely check out the DIY FAQ if you haven't already.
Depending on your power goals, you could go with some supra 305cc's, an afpr, and a bipes (for timing), or go ahead and get some 450cc or greater injectors and a megasquirt and be done with it.It looks like that HKS F-CON isn't user programmable and is set up for only 5psi, so you'll end up ditching that. For the fuel pump, I'd recommend a Walbro 190lph HP. You've defnitely come to the right place to learn turbo miatas. I'd have never got boosted if it weren't for this forum. |
Apparently you're a non-English speaking Turk.

Noticed I got the figures the wrong way round!
|
Forget the afpr and bipes if your getting a megasquirt. I your looking for big number invest in a oil cooler, get a lsd if you don't have one. Other than whats in the DIY thread build then engine and your done with it.
|
What are your power goals?
|
Power goals, well I just wanna go as far as I can without going forged to be honest.
|
Get a megasquirt and some 550cc injectors
2 1/2" pipe will make it breathe better than stock. Although a 3" would give you less backpressure. You can keep the stock fuel pump but upgrading to a walboro 190lph would give you some head room. And like you said, an intercooler. Should get you there. |

Because people will flame you just like you expected when you reported instead of responded. There simply aren't any places on the street you can run through 4 gears flat out several times in 2 miles within 20 minutes to heat the oil that much. And if you are clever enough to find these places, you probably have an oil temp gauge already. For a non-forged (sub 250 rwhp) motor driven on the street like 99% of us drive on the street, you dont need it. Run oil that wont break down under hihg heat and change it twice a year and you're not going to have problems an oil cooler would solve. |
