What Req fuel value for Rx8 Yellow's?
What Req fuel value are you guys running for the Rx8 yellow injectors?

Nobody running rx8 yellows out there? I'm trying to make sure my req fuel values are similar to other peoples as there is a debate as to what size/flow they actually are.

just reduce the req_fuel in relation to the percentage of change in size from the stock to the new.
example if you went from 230s to 460s, then you'd reduce the req_fuel by 50%. |
Right, what is the consensus on the cc rating of the yellow Rx8 injectors? Some people say 380, some say 425, yet others say 450, who knows for sure?

i thought 420cc.
you'll also need to adjust your cranking pulse width table and your accel enrichments should be reduced in the same fashion. however, you must remove 1ms from the math before reducing the cranking, then add that 1ms back. the cranking table accounts for the opening and closing time. example: 60*F = 4ms 230 -> 460cc injectors. 4ms - 1ms = 3ms 3/2 = 1.5 1.5 + 1 = 2.5ms |
I will check and make sure my cranking pw and accel enrichments are adjusted properly, and I will adjust my req fuel value with the 420cc number. I am taking the car to ed senf at balanced performance on Feb 14th to be tuned for 15-17psi. I'm not sure if he's going to start from scratch or what his methods are, so I guess we'll find out.
