I picked up a straight T4 by accident instead of the T3/T4 that I wanted. Is there any place you guys know of that I can buy a T3 compressor?

Just about any turbo builder will sell you what you want. But it's advisable to get the assembly balanced after adding the new turbine wheel. It might be more cost effective to pick up a good used/rebuilt t3/t4 and sell yours (depending on what you paid for it). - rob

I've contacted a guy in SoCal who has decent prices (turboparts.com) so I'll see what he can do. But worst case I'll put it up on ebay or see if I can trade it for a T3/T4. Any clue what T4s go for? Its never been run, just a bit of surface rust on the turbine housing.

Or even better, any sources for used turbos? It seems that everything on Ebay is junk.

Over the past year or so, finding a good used turbo is tough, used prices used to be 40-80 bucks, now they are 200- 300!!and you still have to rebuild most of them...

I have bought from turbos_r_us with good results(evilbay I don't bid on stuff-- I just email them what I need and they get send me a price and ship it).

FM has one leftover t3/t4 from a prototype kit they were building. It's very low miles. I bought the other t3/t4 (less than 1k miles) from them, basically because I knew its history and the fact that it was in good working order- the biggest risk buying used turbos IMO. Call and ask Bill about it. - rob

You can find a good used Garrett T3/T04E for about 350-400. Be careful though if you are looking on ebay....most are knockoffs that suck a huge assload.
