Where to get turbo blanket for T-25?
 

I know I've read countless threads of people saying "OMFG nobody needs a turbo blanket! Waste of money!11!!!11"

Well, I just bolted up my T25 and HKS mani and the turbine housing is going to be sitting like 2" from the hood. My car was just painted, so yeah, I want a blankie. If it doesn't exist then I'm having it ceramic coated, but I'm not leaving a bare, glowing red hot thing that close to my hood. :)

seriously, stick a 1" thick piece of reflective insulation between your hood and the hood structure, and it won't ruin your paint, and your turbo will keep cool.

There are literally 100 ways to DIY a really good looking heatshield.

I used this insulation kit here to line a heat shield I made from sheet aluminum. It's easy to take off if need be, and it only cost $40 + the scrap aluminum I had laying around. It also leaves the internal wastegate lever free of obstructions, too.
