Default Turbonetics Super 60?

I could use some advice from the more experienced. I'm piecing together my turbo kit, slowly but surely. A buddy of mine found a Turbonetics T3 Super 60 trim / .82 AR asking $150. I had planned to go with a Chinacharger since many have had good luck with them. Should I consider the turbonetics turbo over a T3 china like...
T3 TURBO 63 TRIM AR.48 INTERNAL WASTEGATE V BAND NEW | eBay ?

I can't find many reviews about the turbonetics super 60 other than some say they've had random failures and others love them. I am in a 1.6, just want somewhere around 225-250whp.

Thanks!

Olllllllldddddd turbo. Tried and true. For $150 go for it. Might be a little oversized for a 1.6.

That's the T3 to have for a 1.6 IMO- good ceiling and spool. Nice price if it's good.

Brain raves about his t3 60 something or other. He's posted links to it many times. I'd go with whatever he's running.

but a turbonetics super 60 =/= a Garrett T3 Super 60.

iirc the turbonetics is a 71 or 76mm wheel.

That's fairly large. Way more than you need for 220whp (if that's what you're going for)

that's a 42mm/60mm wheel.

the super 60 wheel should be a 62 trim, something like 48mm/60mm

didn't realize the turbonetics was so big- figured they would just copy garrett for the sake of continuity

I can't decide, I didn't think it was that big. I can't really find any gsp/cx churbos that are any smaller. I do want something with quick spooling. Would it be bad choice to buy it because of it's age, size? Rather than just going with a brand new churbo with vband?
