who is running 440+ injectors on an NB?
I know there are limited NBs here but since that's what I'm building, that's why I'm asking.
I know Markp is running 880s. Y8, what are you running? The whole returnless fuel line on the 99+ is why I'm asking. I guess I still can't grasp why people over at M.net are talking about adding the return line from the NAs to run bigger injectors. Seems that any decent EM would allow bigger injectors at stock fuel pressure just fine. I emailed Gary at Trackdog regarding the EMUs they're running on their high HP cars and he said the same thing. I dont either. With good EMU I think that you should be able to run the injectors you want, and in lieu of higherpressure just run larger injectors to get enough fuel in there.

Well you're right BUT the problem is the deadhead fuel rail has a hard time holding 60 psi under load. From others' data it drops down to 50 or below. Adding a return, and a way to clamp down on it, is a very easy and effective fix. Also you can add in a rrfpr to add in 1 psi of fuel pressure per 1 psi mani pressure to offset differential pressure. Otherwise, 50 psi rail pressure - 10 psi boost pressure = only 40 psi actual = :td:

I run 550s but I haven't turned up the wick on the setup enough to find their limits.

I just bought some RX-7 550's that will be sent off for cleaning and flowing this week.

From what I understand, Gary has been round 'n round with the EMU. I don't know what he did on SDS.
BTW, his red car owns my life. |
460s on a 2000. SDS controlled. never see under 58 psi at the rail.
in the head? maybe it does drop but, it isnt a problem yet. |
