you need the whole kit--sensor, controller, and you should get a gauge too

Savington 05-02-2007 10:45 PM

Innovate LC-1 w/ DB gauge is $265 from Wideopenthrottle on these forums.

lc1 is also on ebay for like $160, link should have a o2 input I would think. You dont really need a gauge if you can datalog.

nester 05-02-2007 10:56 PM

Yep, I retail the DB Kit for 259

Be careful on ebay, Innovate reported recently that a shit ton of fakes have shown up on ebay, they may or may not work.. saving $20-40 bucks might cost you an engine.

neogenesis2004 05-02-2007 11:16 PM

mine works fine...

jayc72 05-02-2007 11:19 PM

Can the DB gauge be purchased seperately?

nester 05-02-2007 11:39 PM

Yes.

And it may be a real innovate, that doesn't mean that the next auction will be. ;)

Even if you can datalog, having a wideband gauge that you can glance at periodically helps a ton.

Not sure if you know this, but the Mk1 Link needs to be modified to process a wideband input (same with the Link IAT and knock sensors).

I guess I should have phrased my question differently. How much and where? : )

Braineack 05-03-2007 01:57 PM

I bought mine through eBay through DIYautotune....a few bucks cheaper on there vs. their site.

greddymx5 05-03-2007 07:27 PM

mail fm for the board adjustment... need to cut a trace ,and solder on a difficult location.. hope your handy...(have the new chip??) Remove the chip during soldering!!

miataspeed1point6 05-03-2007 08:14 PM

I just got my LC-1 in the mail today! I'm thinking of hooking it up to my Autotune and my Autometer NB gauge. Either way I'm happy!
:yippee:

Ben 05-03-2007 09:41 PM

On my Link, all I had to do was cut a trace. Didn't have to solder anything :dunno:

Atlanta93LE 05-03-2007 09:43 PM

Maybe that's why it didn't work ;)

Newer link probably. Mine is like that as well.

Actually, I got mine used, and ran the car with a 4 wire O2 for about a year. I got a wideband and opened up the link to cut the trace for running the WBO2 into it, and found it was already cut! Apparantly the Link will still work fine with a narrow band with that trace cut.....
