Will a mk1 fit a mk2.5?

Hi all,

just been driving me mad trying to find this out, I notice quite alot of turbo kits for the mk1 mx5 but almost 0 for the 2002 range so would a mk1 manifold fit an mk2.5 1.6 apart from some modding of a down pipe.

If any one is selling a kit like this in the UK then give me a shout.

In the US the two main sellers of turbo parts for miatas are Flyinmiata and Begi (bell engineering), although there are others.

On the US-spec 1.8 engines, the only difference is the EGR fitting. I would expect that the same holds true for the UK-spec 1.6s (any US-made 1.6 manifold will have no EGR fitting at all, as no US-spec 1.6 MX5 had EGR.)

Hardware is hardware. You can always block the EGR at the intake manifold.

Thanks for that, i just notice that they sell the NA exhaust manifolds as years but looking at them they look like the same bolt pastern, just in limbo at the moment as i fave the adaptronic on order so i can still either choose turbo or supercharger so just weighing the two up.
