Well, you certainly won't risk running too lean :-)

Honestly, that's probably as good as you'll get with your standard AFPR setup without the second check valve. It's just difficult to really tune it to maintain a steady AFR across the rev range.

I'm basically putting the car in storage on Monday (insurance $) but I want to try for one more tune before that. Then, this winter should be aem ems, FIC, or MSPNP (90% likely), once I finish the cheap turbo on the civic. I really like the car with 8psi, although I am the second slowest of my friends (seven cars), it just seems like a good balance.

I'm going to try other parts stores tomorrow for another check valve, otherwise I will visit lovefab. Will the second check valve really lean out my high end without leaning out my midrange? It seems like if I decrease the fuel pressure at boost, it will lean out everywhere.

BTW, I ran about ten times at the dragstrip last night again without a hint of clutch slip on my stock clutch. I was kinda hoping it would give up, so I was forced to change it out.

I haven't been able to find any decent one way check valves around (autozone, etc..) so I added two smallish aquarium ones to my existing one but it doesn't really work. I will order a couple from BEGI. Running 8/9psi, I wasn't able to get my high end lean and this is the richest I could get my mid range without any pressure runoff. It was cold out, so this is the leanest it will ever be. I just want to protect the motor until I feel more knowledgeable and can afford MS. I definitely noticed a lose of power versus running 9/10psi leaner. But the car is still so much fun. Bandaids have been fine for me getting started, I just want to be careful until I have some real control.

I did bump up my base pressure a tad, what should I try if I get another chance?
Is there any chance another one way check valve can help or should I stop wasting my time for now?

(8/9 psi, 1.8inj, walbro 190hp, o2 clamp, BEGI fmu)
