1990/1.6 original w/100K/disco potato/ms2/460 inj/oem pump/ignition/internals/cat. and muffler/3" pipe. 9psi and 11psi.
-for reference, car was at 9psi when purchased and with the tuning as left by the previous owner it put down 165hp 150lb/tq on the same dyno. |
Nice numbers?

seems a bit low.
Not sure the difference between mustang and dynapack but i made 30 more hp with a 2860 (potato) and 20 mopre ft lbs all over with the same boost. 3" turboback with high flow cat and magnaflow muffler. Mine was a pro tune though. This is my 10 and 12 psi overlay https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1370619702 |
Seems good to me, but of course it depends on how the mustang dyno was configured. Mustang dynos "typically" read lower than others, but they can be configured to put out whatever numbers you want really.
|
I wouldn't be surprised if I got different results at a different mustang dyno. and even more difference with a different brand of dyno. different day. etc.
for example, Nissan GTR: Mustang Dyno: 406 HP/6400 rpm & 414 ft-lb/3800 rpm Dynapack: 452 HP/6350 rpm & 448 ft-lb/3865 rpm Tested on same day and conditions. |

mechanical failure at track led to blown engine. replaced with jdm motor with unknown mileage. it was retuned on the dyno, just because.;)
|
for comparison, ap2 s2k's have a hard time cracking 200 whp on mustang dyno's. regardless, blown engine= bad, retune with higher/wider torque curve= good.
