Thanks for the details. I'm a fellow GTX2867R owner and think I may have been making slightly more power than the virtual dyno predicted. This may explain the damaged 6 speed I'm going to have to change.

No prob m8. Happy to give back for all the reading i have done here :)

What Hotside do you have? Mine is .64. How much boost do you run?

nitrodann 05-06-2018 05:58 PM

We made 455whp @30psi on a stock vvt motor, strengthened only. GTX2867R 0.86 GenII

.86 hotside, tubular Artech manifold, ported NA8 head, stock cams, 3in downpipe and exhaust, about 20psi

I'm going there when I get my BMW transmission

nitrodann 05-06-2018 07:31 PM

Dont know if this will work but heres a 10 second video of the pull.

I cant get it off facebook Ill youtube it later and embed it.

After 20 edits... I cannot get it to embed... Aaaaaaand... now it works, you just paste the whole desktop URL in and it does it automatically..

So its an Absurdflow style low mount, 3" system with cat and mufflers, ebay intercooler 210mm tall, same one as used in MSM's but 210 instead of 140mm tall. ID1300s, and we taper the boost on to keep peak torque around 300-320ftlb. I think this was a 3000-8000rpm run.

Holy crap, I'm leaving a lot of power on the table. Please tell me what fuel and share a shot of your timing map so that I may be enlightened.

I need to ditch these small NA8 cams, head, and intake manifold...

nitrodann 05-06-2018 09:17 PM

It is a dead stock VVT. 10:1 supertechs, supertech heavy doubles, Manley Rods, Boundary Stage 2, and ATI damper. Pump E85.

Outside of that Ill show you photos of the bolt ons and the timing table. Dyno is an oldschool analog Dyno Dynamics, in shootout mode, however shootout is supposed to have the temp sensor at the filter and we always run it just in the room.

Ignore that circle, just had that pic and thought I would share the downpipe design (it's a different engine and stuff but the same manifold and downpipe). And yes, internal gate. And yes, it really has a cat and muffler etc

Manual brakes really clean up that corner. Your exhaust guy is top notch, guess he's in for some more work when the 6758 gets in.

How's the duty on the 1300s at that power level, you making the bump to 1700s with the BW?

nitrodann 05-06-2018 09:48 PM

We made 450whp comfortably with the ID1300s. That red car has a dead stock NA return fuel system apart from intank Walbro 340 and ID1300s.

Come over to the dark sideee. Now that you're balling with a BMW trans... the least you can do is get a head from the last 2 decades!

sixshooter 05-06-2018 10:03 PM

I've got supertech light doubles, Boundary Engineering pump, Artech tubular top mount, 3in downpipe and exhaust with no cat, 8.6 pistons, forged rods, ported NA8 head, stock valves, but I'm running pump 93 octane.

The fuel will be holding me back from going up to 30psi unless I go to e85, I guess.

FYI: most people on this site mention horsepower at the wheels - which is 248,2 in your case. Europeans are more used to horsepower at the crank (i.e. horsepower at wheels with a correction).

So you think his 328 is 248? That's quite a lot of correcting.

Think so. The greek word τροχού means wheel. Agreed that is seems like a pretty significant correction - 20-25% seems to be more common.

I am not going to discuss about hp to the crank or to the wheels. The correction factor is way off.

328 on 16.5 psi is a normal number for this turbo Imho. I dont think that garrett's declaired hp number for the gen1 gtx2867 wich is rated for max 470 if i remember correctly, is whp. It is 470HP.

Soooo when guys here output 415 whp on a 6258BW with a .64 turbine housing which is rated for max 450hp(not WHP) that sound right to you?
