1.8, GT2554R, 420CC, 9psi, 220whp (Mustang Dyno)

Car is still at the tuner, so dynosheet to come.

HOWEVER, I am skeptical of these numbers... Don't they sound extremely high for a 2554r at only 9psi, especially on a Mustang dyno (so 240+- dynojet)?

97 1.8 with 60k miles
gt2554r @ 9psi
420cc rx8 injectors
MS3
3" turbo back with 3" cat
Colder plugs, IAT, etc etc.
Professionally tuned by a reputable tuner

Apparently my boost control solenoid from DIY is broken, so they could only tune to the wastegate.

a mustang dyno can read higher than a dynojet with the push of a button

If I'm not mistaken, mustang dynos usually read higher than Dynojets. I'd guess you're probably right around the 205 mark with that setup.

No, if calibrated correctly they don't.
But most aren't calibrated correctly.

Also, what gear were you in?

briswo 07-06-2015 07:39 PM

Finding out about the gear now.

From what I've read (obviously there are many variables at play) Mustang generally reads lower than Dynojet. However, I would take that with a grain of salt.

When all is said and done, it doesn't matter that much. 220, 200, 190. If the car feels great, if it's fast enough for you, if it runs good, that's really all that matters.

If you want a more accurate test of power, go run it in the quarter. Trap speed can't be manipulated to read much higher than what the car actually puts down.
