1990 W/'96 engine & RACELAND Header
Just wanted to say hello, as I am new to the forum.
I thought it would be good for my first post to be a dyno plot; sort of a baseline to start from.
I know most of you will be unimpressed by these numbers as they are N/A, but they aren't bad considering it is still running on the stock 1.6 ECU and a $80 ebay header, including the shipping (Brand new even)!
Tell me what you think. I plan on doing some minor work to the car and throwing it back on the dyno before the temp. get way too hot here is S. FL.

I won't debate the fact that the dyno is optimistic, but its all that have as a data point. The same day I had my car on this dyno a friend of mine had his '93 with a '00 engine dyno at 130hp and 120ft-lbs. This just gives me a target to aim for.
Planned mods down the line are:
COP's
RX-7 AFM (Already have this)
Megasquirt & remove said AFM
A lot of dyno tuning time!
More details for the car are as follows:
Stock 1.6 AFM
New Plugs
New wires
Spec Miata ACT 4 puck non-sprung clutch
1.6 flywheel (Machined a few times)
RB 90 degree elbow intake
Raceland header
Timing bumped to 12* (This setting made the most power)
Here is a picture of said engine and header before I installed them into the car.

You guys are probably all correct and the dyno in question is abnormally high, but as long as its stays consistent, I should still be able to tell if any changes I make have an impact on power. You really can't compare dyno numbers from different dynos anyway, there are way too many variables built into each dyno. Also the numbers can change depending on when the dyno was last calibrated.
Before I "tuned" the AFM, I had my car, my dad's car and another friends car on the dyno within minutes of each other.
That day my car made 120hp.
My dad's BONE STOCK '94 made 110hp.
My friend's '95 made 123hp with an exhaust, intake and header.
All I am saying is that the numbers are relative to that dyno on that day. As long as I keep using this dyno, I should be able to use my baseline as reference point, no?
