Default GT2560, 12psi dyno

Finally got the car dyno'd today. The guy only took it to 6200rpms, I didn't notice until they were taking it off the dyno. I think I could have gotten a little more power out of it if he'd taken it to redline, but oh well.

I was a little disappointed with the results; 210hp, 188tq. Need moar boost!

wtf is wrong with it? Have you not tuned the ******? You should be making a ****-ton more output with that much boost on a gt2560.

Even if he'd continued it to 7200, I can see the hp curve starting to flatten out... maybe you've got another 10whp in there the way it was going.

But Hustler is right. It doesn't look like you're spooling real well. You're a good 30-40ftlbs low too. Guys make more power than that on 1.6's w/2554r at 12psi.

What exhaust are you running?

I don't suppose you've done any datalogging... AFR curve?

Why don't you post up your spark map as well.

I'm going to guess if he had pulled to 7K it would have made something in the range of 220/188.

Yep- always tell the dyno dude to watch the computer not your tach. Mine shows 7500 at 7000.

Hehe, your avatar makes me want to attempt a carrier landing.

Pdexta, I think it had 215 or 220 in it if the dyno op hadn't flinched. Your car felt nice and quick to me. And I know the light weight helps, but it ran pretty darn well. Good job.

when i got my car dynoed stock ( at 98 whp for a 1.8 ....which is low) i had him go to the limiter. He was the first one to mention how far my tach is off.

I'd like to know if this car spent ay time on spark tuning, or its just a "dumb" tune. I made 30whp just on spark tuning at 10psi.

I need to spark tune my cars. I'd love to pick up some more power.

That looks pretty good. Too bad he didn't run it 500 more rpm to see if hp kept climbing or not.

I'm assuming that you've not load tuned your spark table. You can pick up 10% there, assuming the motor isn't tired.

My car? It's not slow, it's just not as fast as the last one.

We're getting there. Time is precious, but mods are coming.
