not bad for only 5psi. you still running the stock downpipe and exhaust? that will make a huge improvement.

*edit* you boost seems to come on late for such a small turbo... you might want to get a manual boost controller and see if you can pick up some more bottom end.

This was a couple weeks ago, with Jackson Racing cat-back & cat replacement pipe, stock/Greddy downpipe ****.
I've since replaced the downpipe & will be going to a "dyno day" with some guys from MX5nutz.com over here in UK, so we shall see what difference the DP makes then.

Nice !
Did you tighten up that waste gate arm ?
You should be able to get up to 6PSI on the standard Greddy kit.

I may try that when it goes on the dyno.

Is it typical for the wastegate to "rattle"? I think that's what I can hear sometimes, seemed "loose" when i was changing the DP the other day.
Holds boost fine though.

it shouldn't rattle... mine did the same thing. tightened it down and now I spool 750 rpm sooner and also hit 8 psi instead of 6. the annoying rattle sound is also gone, which is a bonus.

Well, I don't want to increase the boost without making other changes first but i would like to cure the annoying rattle. will tightening the actuator arm very slightly help with this?

Yes, if that is what is causing the rattle.
But it will go near to 6PSI then

You don't need bigger injectors until you get near 8PSI !!
Tighten it up until there is no rattle, it'll be fine.

Depends on which system he has for enrichment. The vortech taking the fuel pressure to 78~80 psi and the EMB there to add injection would take care of 6psi easily. However, if he has the "black box" European GReddy enrichment and no fuel pressure increase, it's "iffy".

I thought he had the standard kit.
I'm in Euroland and have the standard kit with the blue pressure regulator, standard 1.6 injectors etc.
I've no EMB or BiPeS etc.
My setup is going to change again soon though

dude what do you mean holds boost fine towards redline you are running .2 bar that is like 2.94 psi it is hurting your perfomance for sure. Tighten the rod and adjust your fueling etc on the EMB and you will be fine.

??? You mean me? look at the dyno graph, it's holding nearer 5 to 5.5psi.

just i noticed the rattle more after fitting a new downpipe. and yes it is from the wastegate.

btw, I have the blue AFPR and also Emanage

Blue(Vortech) AFPR with the 12:1 disc they supply and a stock fuel pump in decent shape, will be good to 6psi. Add some additional injection with the EMB and you have enough fuel for 8psi, so I wouldn't be worried about tightening the wastegate rod.

This is especially true with a wideband in place to monitor your AFR and bring your additional injection in where you need it.

I would expect at 6psi that the only problem would be heat soaking, unless you have an intercooler we don't know about.
