Default My 99 T25 @ 10 psi with WI... dyno

Hello everyone, I am getting my 99 stock motor dyno'd today. I am running a t25 @ 10 psi with DO progressive WI. I am running only a Voodoo box for management and I have the HKS downpipe to a highflow cat with 3" catback exhaust.. Also should mention I upgraded the spark from stock coils to plasma blasters.

I am getting it dyno'd later today and I am just curious to see what people can estimate the outcome will be. I will posting pictures, and hopefully even some video later today...and hopefully talk to the owner about dyno discounts for us. Thanks and I am getting it done @ 5pm Pac time so I should have the graphs up later tonight.

You're missing lots of info here. What engine management are you running? What exhaust do you have?

Thanks I am going to a place that does mostly high HP muscle cars, but the owner seemed real nice/interested in doing a miata...

Its basically like COP, but I got them for real cheap from the deal of the day on FM so no need for COP. It was basically a direct swap, but I remounted them on the opposite side. They cleaned up my idle amazingly. Here was a old thread on m.net regarding them
http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=1894 here is a older picture of my bay you can see the major wire layout difference (and many things have been changed such as wire locations, the oil feed leaking union & more). I reused the NGK grommets on longer wires to compensate for the length differences

As for being over 200WHP I completely agree, but the management issue with the VB my major restriction. Its kind of hard to dial it in with my progressive kit.

what size is the turbo? t25 just doesn't cut it. My guess(and I am rarely wrong) is 196.4 rwhp.

Not even worth posting up the charts (I still will tomorrow when I can hopefully scan them). Other than someone losing a motor or damaging something I had the worst runs. I had a couplers that kept busting and my tuning was crap. I had it running great, but at the last moment I enriched it before dynoing it because I was super scared ruining something seeing that I am 20 and poor. :(

Highest WHP sadly was 143.1 @ 4200 because the coupler blew off with a AFR of 12.11 & surprisingly torque on the same run was 181.19 @ 4100. He told me if I get things worked out a little better I can bring it back and get a discount. The whole way home I fixed my AFR...damn WI i underestimated its effects.

Nothing wrong with 12.11:1 AFRs.

Why do you have to fix an AFR of 12.1?

one video of it...I like the sound, but its so sad you can hear when it loses power after 4200 or so. I tuned it coming home (damn so cal freeways) and it runs great again. I may go back tomorrow...I am super sad

I completely agree 12.11 - 12.5 is awesome, but the problem is after that my WI and shitbox went extremely lean on this run. On that run I was already at 12.87 @ 4450 and climbing. I started running leaner than stioch and the engine went super retarded literally. All the numbers above 4100-4200 either went to lean or too rich. I

Forgot the charts at home, but looking at other peoples information can anyone verify that with this tuned I should have tq & whp over 200? I mean my Whp did not even get to take off & my tq was already at 181 @ 4100.

The manager said that they had nothing to tune fuel injection yet (place does mostly drag domestics, but the guy is great and was amazed with a 1.8). Him and his co-worker said they loved the sound of the set up compared to there 454 V8 all motor stuff Thanks for all the input guys, and sorry that my bad tuning made this thread a waste. Hopefully should have new numbers in a month or so.

The points of COPs is to eliminate spark plugs wires.

now, post the plots or ban. Sounds like the clutch is slipping on that pull....

visually yes, but fuctionally they are there to increase power to the spark yes?

I left them @ home, but the charts blow horribly. Running super lean shown in the video (timing retards big time) and the other one running with 10.4 AFR gets me no where. If nothing else I will take a pictures of the charts and post them tonight.
