Default First time at a dragstrip this year

I managed to pull a 13.6. I couldn't launch the car to save my life, tries would just spin. This is a vid of my best run, the owner from the mustang said he had 700 horse power, and on a good day he would be in the mid 10s. Judging by the way he ripped past me after the 1000ft I'm pretty sure he wasn't telling me a bunch of ****. He pulled a 13.2 at 117 and managed to get deep into the 12s the rest of the day.

What kind of tires are you running? Also I'm gonna call "partial" BS on the mustang doing 10's. I'm sure he could do 11's but IMO if he's just in the bottom 12's thats still a distance from getting into the 10's.

Tires are dunlop direzzas.

The track is GLD, and it ******* sucks, it is a very slow track. I'm sure if the stang was not on street tries it would have ran much faster. It had a procharger setup pumping into a built and 351(it started life as a 351, cant remember what he said it was finally stroked/bored to).

No sir, this was yesterday. Anymore it costs to much to run during import wars, and i am nowhere near consistent enough to run competitively. Even spectating at import wars is getting to be costly, and its not really the same since none of my friends compete anymore.

Best I could do was a 2.1 just easing out. Launching any harder only got me spin and wheel hop.

If the Mustang was at 117, he would be in the 11's on slicks. IIRC, low 120's will put you in the 10's, but you better be hooking good.

700 hp will put a Mustang in the 9's. Way in the 9's. He was giving you the typical toothless redneck horse ****.

Made one more run. Launched a bit harder then before. Managed to trap 108.8.

The Mustang would still trap a lot better than 117 with 700whp.

Nice runs, wish I was man enough to take mine back to the drag strip. :[

On a good day the Mustang picks up 2.5 whole seconds? I need more good days.

What tire was he running? 700 horse and deep 12s? 300-400 range cars here are trapping 110s and low 12s on radials?

^^ Full weight cars as well (3800 range)
