97 1.8 with Godspeed GT28 Turbo @ 11.5psi
My 1990 Miata setup includes:
- 1997 1.8 motor (stock)
- AEM EMS ECU with 2 bar map sensor & GM boost control solenoid
- RX7 460CC Injectors
- Flyin Miata DIY Manifold & Downpipe
- Godspeed GT28 Turbo ($300 on ebay)
- 2.5" charge pipes with a Yonaka front mount intercooler
- OBX 2.25" Catback exhaust
That should be all the necessary stuff. I still have more timing to add, and I'm rich in some areas, but I'm really happy with the results:
214HP, 220 Ft/Lbs of torque
Considering I still have a 2.25" exhaust past my test pipe, and I'm running 11.5psi, I think the numbers are fantastic. Here's a picture of the dyno sheet, and my car on the dyno.

Thanks Brain. In my AEM EMS I can choose how much correction to give on the wastegate, and I have it come on really strong, so I think that's why I'm seeing that dip. I basically just need to smooth it out and that should go away.
I'm basically at my power goal. Would like to be between 220-230 HP, and about the same torque. I'm guessing going up to a bigger exhaust and a bit more tuning will put me there.

BUT on that note, the car is boosting way better now. I had an old vacuum fitting tapped into the cold side of my charge pipes and discovered it had fallen out. Now that's I've plugged it the car is.... better

I got the motor in an unknown state from an auto wrecker. I did the the timing belt and the one that was on it was definitely not original, so I'm guessing at least 100,000kms on it. I've probably put about 7,000kms on the motor boosted, but only about 1000kms on this current turbo setup. The motor is totally stock.
