Figured I throw this up in is section as well, msm swap with injectors, gen 1 pnp, evo 8 FMIC, Protuning lab 2.5 inch downpipe and stock MSM catback with muffler delete. 12psi produced this.(red line)
https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1409946276 Super conservative timing as well. This is on pump gas https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1409946276 |
what dyno? never mind i see dynojet....

Love the comparison to the MS'd 1.6. And that's 10hp over stock, at the wheels!!
|
dat torque
this is one of the better simply bolt on msm setups I've seen |
Damn, more info on turbo etc? Can't be stock.

Must be a miracle motor then. I have same relative setup and make the same power with way more aggressive timing, full exhaust and 13psi. Or my tune is just shit...LOL I'm jelly...

you are on a much lower reading mustang dyno though arent you?

Its easy to get carried away with the whole "mustang vs jet" argument. And a lot of shops make me laugh cause they always claim to have the lowest reading mustang dyno in existence. If you follow their logic/claims, you would have believe their dyno is set up to read 40% lower than a dynojet. Which is hilarious. But the fact does remain: mustang often tends to read lower, so I wouldn't be surprised if the two cars discussed here are within 10-15hp of one another. On a different note: OP, is this thing still on the stock MSM clutch? |

The car has an FM clutch in it currently. The plan is to do rods next year and then add the timing back in and see what she will do on the stock turbo at say 14psi with perhaps a better downpipe back exhaust as well
