new numbers!

Ok, so with the new turbonetics t3/t4, cat delete, new downpipe, and new drivers side intercooler pipe, and AVC-r....

The car did 292 wheel and 222 torque at 13psi:bigtu:... She's a beast, I'll get the dyno sheet scanned in ASAP, along with my old one for comparison

neogenesis2004 09-30-2007 08:43 PM

Its been 5 minutes, were is the damn dyno!

y8s 09-30-2007 09:10 PM

aw you didnt break the magic 300.

but 292 is friggin awesome.

magnamx-5 09-30-2007 09:11 PM

Damn 13 psi no friggin way that is great. Damn yo musta held 220 lbft until redline.

airbrush1 09-30-2007 10:55 PM

little brother is doing homework on the computer with the scanner...... starting to annoy me.....

Another nice point is that the previous tune was done on a 40 degree day in december.... and it was 85 degrees the day of this tune. in a shop with no AC....

Bad thing.... I wish the dyno sheets were on the same scale, it's kind of hard to compare them visually.

I'm having my brother try to scan the sheet in now

airbrush1 09-30-2007 11:18 PM

ok here we go.

First is the old dyno

http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...4_111_full.jpg

and here is the new one

http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...4_112_full.jpg

If anyone can do something with the scale of each so they are easier to compare, I'd be much obliged!

magnamx-5 09-30-2007 11:22 PM

you do know you have a 4.3 rear end right? unless you did something funny why do both graphs have 2 lines, and why are the numbers different i dunno how to read the info i guess?

cjernigan 09-30-2007 11:23 PM

I think scott could use the .dll files or something like that if you wanted that done. Not offering that up as in he'll do it but if someone was i think they need the .dll file if that even exists.
That's pretty damn impressive, i bet that feel amazing. I hope to have that kind of power to the ground when I finish my setup.
Side note. Are you internally or externally gated?

airbrush1 09-30-2007 11:57 PM

externally gated

they give you a sort of before and after line...

airbrush1 09-30-2007 11:59 PM

nah you know what? those are my old numbers (the lower graph) can't believe I didn't notice the correlation!

akaryrye 10-01-2007 12:29 AM

wow thats gotta be a freakin rush to drive. Looking at the numbers, you get about 120hp at 4k (almost stock), then by 5k you're at 200hp, 6k is close to 260hp, and it keeps increasing to redline ...

here's your TQ and HP laid out on the same graph (so the numbers rep both tq and hp)
Looks to me like you had 300whp no prob at 7k... who knows where it would've ended.
I'm surprised you're getting peak tq so late. What are the specs on your turbo? big turbine? big ARs?

airbrush1 10-01-2007 11:05 AM

http://turboneticsinc.com/products/i...category_id=75

that's the turbo according to my serial number

haven't been able to find any compressor maps for it however

m2cupcar 10-01-2007 11:25 AM

That doesn't tell everything, and the text is generic t3/t4. I think beerslurpy was running a similar turbo. Is yours bb? I wonder if there's more torque to be found... I'm running a bit larger t3/t4 with 200cc extra displacement and made 100ftlbs+ more torque at 4400rpm. How much time did you invest in tuning? You know what your timing looks like? EGTs?

airbrush1 10-01-2007 12:15 PM

not realy sure on all that. maybe 2 hours on the dyno ( I was at work) Journal bearing turbo not BB.

Braineack 10-01-2007 01:07 PM

blah, i need a new cam! wtf.

airbrush1 10-01-2007 01:44 PM

I can post the map from the hydra if it would help you guys with figuring out the timing and shiznit...

magnamx-5 10-01-2007 02:41 PM

One question oh mustard lover :gay: why are you posting this in the greddy subsection?
When the DIY section would confuse less noobs? https://www.miataturbo.net/dynos-timesheets-21/
:p

m2cupcar 10-01-2007 03:02 PM

I thought there was only one section: "New Posts" :gay:

airbrush1 10-01-2007 03:29 PM

I thought I did post in the dyno's and timesheets section of diy..... maybe I'm an idiot?

someone move to the correct subsection!
