Couldn't drive for **** today, definitely felt the rev limiter crossing the finish line plus a huge cloud of smoke.
The car's running great though, I should do better Wednesday if we don't get rained out.

Yeah, that might be a good run with a decent launch. My pathetic 60's make yours look good today.
I think there's just too much crap in my mind, between 6 red lights last time and the new tranny brace (which seemed to do nothing.) Not to mention I was just trying to listen to the PA too see when my class got called. Then making sure I am in the right lane and such. It's so much more relaxing on Wednesday nights, I really hope it doesn't rain again.

Not so great but I had tons of fun anyway, too bad they don't let you dial in trap speed. I got 108 every time except when I missed a shift. I think the tranny brace is not working well and my last run would have been fast but I started wheel hopping and had to let off.
This mustang was trapping 123

I am not comfortable leaving it in 4th. Keep in mind with your gear calculator, my tires are low.
I either hesitate and let off or end up shifting too late. So in the future I will just plan to shift a bit higher than before. I think there are 2 weeks before the next race, see you guys then.

One of my friends is visiting from Boston so I took him for the first 2 passes, not allowed to run faster than 14 with a passenger. I gave him one mellow launch then ran all the way down then I launched then slowed down for the last bit.
Otherwise I played with my EBC some and then just stuck it in open loop for the last pass and made an average dial in. My friend had a blast, and this time was more about that, I should be up to par next week.

Question: I was reading NHRA rules. Said that any car with battery in rear had to have a kill switch in the back, or some such. Have you had issues with that?
Does none of that matter in what "class" you run in?
What "class" do you run in?
I'm a total noob, and the track websites don't seem to give me much hints.
Side note: went to Southern Nationals NHRA and saw Funny Cars and Top Fuel Rails for the 1st time. Was a hoot.

That does matter in my class but it only applies to vehicles that didn't come that way.
I run in "Gear Jammers" class, it is a local class and I am not sure it exists everywhere.
On weekend events I usually run both "Trophy" and "Sportsman" classes, otherwise I only get to run a couple times.
It's fun, best $25 I ever spent.

Had a blast but didn't do so well, hit overboost on the first pass at only 34% boost duty. so the new can is working well. Got it working reasonably well after that and got my reaction time working again and reasonable 60' times too. There were tons of vehicles spewing parts on the track, so we only got 3 practice runs and then I missed a shift on the first elimination round. Oh well, next week.
And there was this cool *** "Stupid Fast" bike, here is a real machine for you guys.

I thought you bike guys would like that, he made it all himself. The thing trapped 140+ I think, don't remember the time. It was stupid fast, I was actually kinda scared for the guy, he got a bit squirrelly in 1st and 2nd. The quietest Harley I have ever seen, it was very cool.
Sometimes I think you read this thread just to see what kind of crazy vehicles people are drag racing around here. Now, I just Need to get my car to pop wheelies. ASAP, I need it, so I can have the craziest vehicle out there once.
Because everyone needs a wheelie poppin' Miata. Am I right?
