That was actually a good pass up to the 1000' mark, and I had a bye run, so I won even though I broke out. I was more bummed that I couldn't keep racing.

I had a great time and would do it all again, I will.

I was wrong, my motor popped at 289kpa, no knock recorded, but for some reason the lost sync count went from 0 to 4 when it happened. Also looking like my Flow Force injectors run out of fuel at that level.

For Pat, I know the first one sucks 1-4 from top to bottom

Not the harmonic balancer bolts and the turbo still feels like it's new.
Here is the sound;

Hmmm, is that going to work? Feel free to delete this post if it sucks.

Bent a rod is my guess, sounds like it's bent enough that it's hitting something (crankshaft counterweight or block probably).

Plug look really old, so hard to say a lot. 2 & 3 look like they have a lot of buildup on them flaking off.

Plug 4 looks black and wet compared to others.

Post or send me the log of it breaking. That is odd it lost sync right when it failed. I wonder if it failed, then lost sync, or lost sync, then failed? Odd none the less.

I agree with your assessment of the plugs, I have been running them for a while.
This is when I lost sync, only thought to look because of the dip to 0 rpm on the tables.

It will be a few days before we find out, my local machine shop was closed today for some reason. I hope they are not closed for good, I will give them a call Monday morning.
I ain't opening it 'til I finish the bottom end.

Wow, I was really spoiled by my crazy miata.

This thing sucks so bad by comparison

Aaannnd, I had to quit early, even though I was winning, because the upper radiator hose started pissing on me.

This blows!

However, I got to take this down the 1/4 mile once, with a passenger, which means keep it slower than 14 seconds. I got in trouble because I ran a 13.7 @ 79 mph, but they know me and let me slide but said, "Don't do it again."
My friend finally got the hang of it and she broke out at 11.9 with a 12.5 dial in.

I need to hurry up, next Wednesday night drag is in 3 weeks.

some of the safety rules with drag racing dont make sense to me. i looked at the v6 legacy for 2 secs, saw the 0-60 & 1/4 numbers from that 3.6L and laughed as I moved along.

It's actually a 4 cylinder Impreza, technically, my wife's car. Don't worry, she's glad I found the leaky hose. Great for long road trips or Costco runs and such, but not much fun. I think I had the slowest car in Gear Jammers this time. Slow cars mess people up during elimination because they get to go first.

As for the rules, you got me? I'm just glad they let me run faster than 13.5 with my hardtop on.

I was able to get my timesheets from my runs in the AMG, lol. I was the passenger on the left and I got to drive on the right.

The time is circled because I was in trouble, kinda hard to keep that sucker over 14.

It's the new AMG GTS. Very fun, but too rich for my blood.

I am very rusty, but the car is running well. Had to limit myself to 20psi due to spark blow out. Only got to make 3 passes, I was finishing up the car this morning and after work, so I was pretty late. Got eliminated on the first elimination round.

Very happy to be back

Cool new stickers too

Good catch Marcello! I didn't notice but I will have a look at my logs in a day or two and report back. I was just trying to get everything working. Nothing was right except my VE and timing tables.

Also, if anyone can't figure out a simple PCV system, there you go.

That was basically 3 tuning pulls, and I was short shifting because I still have cheap 30 wt oil in there. I couldn't believe I beat the brand new S5, only raced him because I was last and the odd man out. It is quick.
