I must say, I'm very impressed every time I read about your dyno run. Great job! You may have the fastest Greddy miata period.

Those are impressive numbers considering you aren't using a more capable ECU. You dyno plot goes against the common opinion that you can't get these kinds of power levels with an AFPR based system!

There is a dyno plot at FM's webpage of a greddy setup w/link doing over 260. In the description it says "It takes a little while for that turbo to spool..." Ironically it seems to get to peak tq as fast or faster than their 1.6 FM based setups.

Good job!

It's more than just 1.8 injectors and emanage. I also have a Begi AFPR and Pierburg inline fuel pump as well as an RX-7 AFM and olderguy's autotune. While I agree that "technically" the 1.8 injectors shouldn't be able to support those #, well...they do, and both the tailpipe sniffer and my pre-cat WB show that I am not running lean.

As I've posted in the past, many of the miata gurus (Keith from FM, Brant from BRP, markp, RodH) have said that the 99-00 1.8 injectors have lots of "headroom" for FI whatever that means. Maybe b/c they were designed around a returnless fuel rail that runs at 60psi they are more tolerant of higher pressures. Not sure.

Granted, they "technically" shouldn't work, but they do. That said, I have a spare set of 310cc injectors in my garage should my WB or other data ever show that I am running lean or too high fuel pressures. FWIW, olderguy also runs 1.8 injectors at 15psi and has not had fueling issues either.

Oh yeah, and I forgot....the special boost voodoo dance before I get on the dyno....haha

What kinda fuel pressure are you seeing at 15psi? I used to run about 110psi or so on 270's ( I know I was rich like Bill Gates )....just wondering

I'm feeding my 305s 100psi of fuel at 9psi of boost. I'm recording 12:1 and slowly getting richer nearing redline.

330s at 100psi are good for about 275 BHP

Yeah, see I run about 110psi for 12psi on pumpgas. Its around 10.5:1 AFR's. I would prefer to be around 11.5 :1 but I run rich just to keep things safe. I was gonna add a resitrictor and try to get around 95-100psi and lean it out just a little to gain some free HP. Anyone use the wd-40 restrictor mod?

POP and a few others suggested it to me. But Corky was nice enough to send me one of his.

What injector duty cycles are you guys running?
I only had fuel for 13psi with 440's at a static 80 psi.

The highest that was logged by the Emanage was 91 just at the end of the run, but there was no additional injection at that time. The highest I can read in fuel pressure that logs is 97psi(so it could have gone over 100), but that only held for about 1/10th of a second.

I don't fully trust the Emanage logging 'cause it is only picking off in 1/10 seconds. The control factor is happening much more quickly.

My highest logged duty cycle was 92-93 very briefly as well toward the end. No additional injection at that point as well.

Also agree with the emanage logging as some numbers do not correlate with the LC-1 numbers that logs much faster.

You guys have to remember at those high pressures that the internal injector "needle" has to close against those pressures in 1 complete duty cycle. So even though your around a 85-90% duty cycle, the injector may still lag due to the increased pressure it sees when the needle is open. I can't see this being good for injectors over the long run.
