Anyone successful using Vista with EMU???

If anyone has successfully used Vista with their EMU, please post. I'm thinking of upgrading my Laptop but it would be nice to know if it will work with my EMU.

Thanks.

I am using windows 7 beta with Megatune. It took some modification of the .incs, but I finally got it and Easy Therm working well -today actually-.

Not sure if the EMU usb driver will work with vista or not.

You could always use a vmware session... or go looking for a new driver.....

Dave,

I use a vmware to run an xp 32 bit machine on my vista 64 laptop.

The Vista issues people have been having with emanage stuff is simply because the drivers are 32 bit, or the serial->usb adapter drivers are 32 bit. You need 64 bit drivers for a 64 bit vista install and they just aren't out there. So the simple solution is to use a vm. This is the same problem people had when Vista first came out and 64 bit driver weren't prevalent for printers, etc.

couple steps
partition hard drive
install XP lite on the partition
simple just use the start up function and run XP lite don't need many drivers just the basic to run EMU.
that is how I did it works great

Does your laptop have serial port or are you using a usb converter?

next question: does Windows 7 "XP compatibility mode" work very well? I think it's a free plug-in for all the pro versions.
