EGR removal compensation (EMU)
My car runs very lean on idle and it's running hot. The car won't start until it's completely cooled down. I was wondering what causes this problem.
I adjusted the size in the EMU parameters from 280 stock to 550cc, but I think it might be the EGR removal that causes this problem. I blocked the EGR because my manifold doesn't have a EGR port (HKS). So I think the ECU thinks the airtemp is higher than ik actual is. So the mixture gets leaner than it is supposed to be. I hope it can be compensated by the EMU. Anyone? |
Whatever your injectorsize is, try to get
the compensation fitting to 14.7 AFR on idle. Falk |
it sounds like you may have removed it incorrectly, or have a leak at a blockoff plate, or possibly still have the EGR valve hooked up and have a constant vacuum source going to it.
Could you outline your EGR removal? If the EGR was removed or bypassed correctly you shouldnt experience any differences in how the motor runs. I removed mine a week ago and it runs absoloutly normal except for the CEL |
