Hello all,

I posted this in the DIY section, but I figure there people here that know more about this. I think I have a handle on the emanage, I just have a few questions.

I understand what the autotune does, my question is where do I get the signal for the switch (from the pressurized side of the turbo)?

I'm still not sure what the pressure sensor for EMB does. Do I need it if I'm using the autotune? Where do I get its signal from?

Any help or suggestions on this would be great.

The O2 clamp needs to see boost/vacuum, so it needs to be sourced from the intake manifold. You're supposed to be able to adjust based on only MAF/AFM voltages, but I was told it's much easier if you have a pressure sensor, so I use one. It can share the same signal as the autotune's O2 clamp.

So inside the the car, the autotune, pressure sensor and the boost gauge will all share the same signal, i.e. the boost vacuum off the manifold. Is that correct?

So great.....I know how to plumb everything. Is there a place I can go, or anyone here I can tap to get an explanation as to exactly what the pressure sensor does?

The pressure sensor that feeds the EMB changes the vacuum or pressure signal to a varying electrical impulse which is read by the EMB to indicate the level of barometric pressure in the manifold. It is the most accurate way to control timing.

The pressure switch on the Autotune or O2 clamp that I sell is strictly on/off at a specifically set boost pressure. It is needed to activate the O2 clamp and/or Autotune.

Your boost gauge reads out your vacuum or pressure level directly.

All of these can go on the same vacuum/pressure line since none of them require a high flow of air. It is best NOT to "tee" anything into the AFPR control line or to put anything in the line going to your wastegate actuator other than a boost controller.
