EMB and RX7 460's

I'am posting this because it may be helpful for those who are still using "old school" EMB. People will say that the EMB will not idle 460's but I can tell you for sure it will work on the NB's what I did was take 460cc divided by 1.5 ( 50%) = 307 cc put these numbers in and the stock ecu will idle and run just fine.....sorry about the crappy cell picture but you can see A/F's and TPS@ 0 and RPM's are normal (I'am data logging through 3rd party software)

Nice work. People have always gone by that 150% rule but that doesn't mean you can't go bigger. My guess is the stock ecu is probably trimming the rest of the extra fuel.

I'm surprised you got eManage.Tools working. I never could get it to do anything consistently. Of course, I run MS now, but I've still got the EMB saved for future projects.

Yes, the stock ecu trims the difference. Because the operating range for the stock ecu @ idle is 1.7-2.4 v the EMB trims it to 2.0 v that falls into the operating range of the stock ecu for a 14.7 idle. ( I also posted the fuel and timing map for this under the "post your emanage maps" )

i did some data logs many years ago that showed that the ecu stopped trimming fuel Changing afm voltage)once you had reached a certain Minimum airflow voltage level... this happened to be about 330cc or so...so if you put a higher value in it simply didn't trim out any fuel.
you can get more fuel out at idle by changing your clocking crystal for one about 10-15% higher in frequency. this will obviously pull out 10-15 more fuel

4sfed5 the NB's don't use a AFM, they use a MAF which has a wider operating range.
Thats why it will work. (1999 shop manual voltage range 1.7-2.4 v @ idle ) 460cc-307cc=1.98 v 460cc-280cc=1.88 v both fall with-in the 1.7-2.4 v range. trust me it works..........No need to clock the crystal at least on the NB's.
