Default Mapping?

Folks, I am a little bit confussed about connecting the wideband signal to boost port for mapping.

Baicially, I have read on quite a few threads that suggest you can datalog your afrs using the boost port connected to your wideband and the signal from your MAP sensor connected to the TPS.

I haven,t tried this yet so I really don,t know if it works, the question I have at the moment is, at the moment my injection and ignition maps are mapped by my Greddy MAP sensor, if you take the MAP signal wire off the boost port on the emanage what happens to you maps or more to the point what scales do you set in your maps.

Bit confussed how can you map using boost when you have taken the signal wire off?

Thanks folks hope this is not to confussing.

If your using your map sensor to tune your car (as you are) then if you unplug it from the boost port your EMB won't have the right signal to adjust fuel and timing the only way you can record your boost (psi) is through third party software easiest way is to use your 2 maf signal wire (or vtec wire) which you don't use anyway. heres some links to free software:
