Default Running emanage on a palm?

Is it possible to run an Emanage blue on a palm computer? I don't know much about palms at all, but I remember someone saying they had done this.

How would the program on a palm be different than on my laptop? What specs on the palm would I be looking for? Thanks.

I haven't seen any palm + emanage applications.... Palm + link = yes, Palm + MS = yes..... nothin' for palm and emanage.

The Emanage software is compiled to run on the x86 architecture under Windows ME/2k/XP/Veesta (maybe).

PDA-style computers tend to run either PalmOS or Windows CE. The former is right out, while the latter, though visually similar, will generally not run binaries targeted for the desktop OS of the same name, nor will it recognize the device drivers. (A double-whammy for EMU owners)

The closest thing I have come across would be a Tablet PC. Older ones like my Fujitsu Stylistic 3400 can be had on eBay for around $150.

I was playing with a Sony UX (I think that's the model).... little tiny thing with touch screen running full version of XP.... When I saw it, my first thought was.... Perfect for tunning.

Here's a link to the "new" version, with the slider to reveal keyboard.

I was working with the older one, without the keyboard... but seemed to have everything you need.

$2,200 is a bit steep for my budget lol, but it does look nice. I must have mis read the palm + emanage then, damn. Is there any other option besides a lap top for tuning?

My lap top is terribly annoying in the car, mostly that when the sun is out the screen is impossible to see. I do have a smaller older laptop, but I'm not sure if it will work. Whats the oldest OS that emanage can run on, ME?

Lastly are there any tips to making a laptop easier to use in the car? I think I should invest in a smaller older laptop. Thanks for any advice.

There were a couple of really good threads in this forum prior to the Great Accidental Deletion, but the short version is:

A) Buy something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Fujitsu-3400-Sty...QQcmdZViewItem

B) And mount it in something like this:

A note on the Fuji tablets- there are many different Stylistic models. I am only familiar with the 3400, though there are newer, faster, better machines available. The one thing to look out for is the screen. Even within the 3400 family, there are three different displays. The 3400X model has an XGA (1024x768) display that is indoor viewable only. The 3400S has an outdoor viewable SVGA (800x600) display, and is the one I have. Then there's the 3400C, also SVGA, but indoor viewable only. Don't kid yourself- even the outdoor viewable screen is a little hard to read in direct sunlight (you won't be playing solitaire while driving) but it is usable.
