Default Jumpering wires.

Hey guys, im a newbie at wiring and I dont want to install this EMB wrong and end up with problems on startup. I wanted to know if when they say jumper these wires together, 1 , do they mean I can just tap the first wire to the 2V wire. What I did is tap them together right after they come out of the connector, then only the 2V goes to the ecu and the first wire gets the same current as the 2V. Is that right?

Yes. To tap a wire in this context means to connect the new wire to the existing one without cutting or disconnecting it. So the wire is connected to both the original destination as well as the new destination.

This is in contrast to 2O AFM wire and the 1G & 1H ignition wires, which they instruct you to cut so that they are no longer directly connected to the ECU.
