tuning problems

So I've got an issue with my miata running lean in fourth gear. I've been to a tuner a few times. A couple times with my emanage ultimate. Was at 8lbs and tried to go up to 13lbs and started to lean out with 440cc injectors at 90% duty cycle. So we went down to 10lbs and tuned it there. Made 230hp 205ftlbs of torque. Yesterday I installed rc1000 cc injectorsand went to see him again hoping to turn up the boost. Instead we stayed at 10lbs. It ran clean 11.2s in 3rd gear but in 4th it was hitting 13.5 afrs. He tells me something is restricting my fuel because with these injectors he shouldnt be throwing more fuel at it. I told him I have an eBay 255lph walbro pump. He recommends me get an in line pump. Is this necessary? Is there anything else that can restrict me. A friend told me my factory maf can be maxed out with voltage and that I should get a bigger maf or get a map sensor and delete the maf. Is there an upgraded maf that will be plug and play? I was thinking an rx7 maf but I don't know if it will work with my 97 seeing that its obd2. I just wanna see your opinions. Thanks!

I see your problem already. It's 2013 man, why the hell are you using E-manage?

Get a megasquirt, even an MS1, and you will have plenty of fuel for all the power you want.

I had ms in my 93 1.6 when I brought it to all my local tuners they looked at it like it was ancient. They recommended an aem or emanage ultimate because its the closest thing to a stand alone!
